Although not much remains at the holiday camp in Yaverland, where the battery is situated, the outer casing of the battery is still mostly intact so you can work out how it looked back when it was first built. Outer walls and carponiors remain but inside they have been back filled possibly by using a large digger smashing through the top of the battery and filling it with spoil. There seems no other possible way to have filled it with the volume of spoil inside. Whilst visiting the site the owners had started to excavate the old battery and has exposed the carnot wall over looking the coast. There is also a Royal Observation Corps post east of the site, next to a childrens play area. The hatch and surround is intact but the hatch is tightly sealed.
